Introducing lenglui to you: Sayuri, Mina and Tsukasa
As a change to the usual, for the sake of better learning, I found that it's more effective to place the word list first. Although it might interfere with the atmosphere somewhat but.......... ssshhh... you don't tell and I don't say, no one will notice...
To sing along, scroll all the way down for the romaji.
This time it's just a music file... so there's nothing wrong with your PC, no video is displayed.
Tokimeki Memorial - ~ Only Love ~ OP Theme (TV
Size)
Just started watching this anime
'Tokimeki', which I received from my friend as early
back as February 2008. It has to be said that I haven't enjoyed myself this much
in the same way since... probably more than 5 (five) years ago since
the days of Hanaukyo Maids (*begins prostrating in deep
reverence*)
Tokimeki: Heartbeat,
Palpitations, Throbbing, Excitement... that feeling one gets when looking at or
being close to someone one really likes (like, a crush)
It's an anime, set in school times which brings back memories of
nostalgic schoolyard romances (or rather, in many cases, what
could have happened T_T )
So........... what's the premise of the
story?
Ah... And so we have here again the
recurring theme in numerous animes: A regular guy
holding so much appeal for the girls to all gravitate towards
him.
It's truly a mystery why this could even happen,
as he appears to have no special qualities at all apart from holding so
much appeal for the girls to all gravitate towards him. I
still can't figure out the reason, could somebody help me out with this one
please.
This inexplicable, yet incredibly
irresistible attraction force invariably gives rise to chance
misunderstandings whereby you bite your nails in anxiety whether this
instance will cause the male lead to get the 'general bad
ending' where he ends up with none of the girls in the
end -- often in a scene looking up into the sky and narrating some boring
monologue. More importantly, this means that, when that happens, apart from that profound sky
scene, no memorable images are forthcoming.
Anyway, for those of you who are wondering, this
anime is tastefully SFW (Safe For Work) folks, it's an official release by the
same people who brought to you the genre of 'love simulations'... the famed
video game maker Konami. Sorry to disappoint you, gomen ne...
And what exactly then does one do in school life?
Let me see... first of all, one has to study hard to match up to all the hopes
and dreams that one's parents have so earnestly vested (and monetarily invested)
in one's goodself, and take exams.
But of course 26 episodes to detail out all that
would meet with lukewarm response so what is featured in this anime is
interaction between friends.. friendships, rivalries (oooh) fights of animated
violence and so on... and 'events', which involve at
least one of
i.going to the beach (waaaa...... umi
~!!!)
ii. going camping in the rural mountains (where
some truth or dare type game inevitably leaves a couple (the male lead and
one of the selection of comely anime girls)
iii. the hot springs (where the boys & girls
are separated by just a bamboo wall in the pool)
or all of the above, which expedite the occurence of 'RABU-RABU' (LOVE LOVE)
situations... ohoho...
And of course, join clubs, competitions, and
organize activities.
But come on, who hasn't joined a club,
activities, or helped to organize club activities, for the motive of furthering
self-development at the same time forming lasting friendships? ...
...
Let me rephrase that: Who hasn't joined a club
for the sole motive of facilitating the getting close to a certain
girl(s)?
So for all you lucky kids who are still insulated
from the rigours of adult situations (like paying the bills and
doing the taxes) in the institution called school ... Remember children...
we will regret the things we did not do more than the things we did do
(and subsequently regretted.)
Sore ja, minna-san, tokimeki kiyoku yoku
tsukaimashou ne ~
Well, everybody... Make yourself some
exciting memories ~ ^_~
Jikai yokoku (Preview of Next
Episode)
Mina:I've never gotten wet
before...
(watashi... nureta koto nai desu
kedo...)
Hiromi:...Ehhhhh?
Mina: It seems like the rain avoids me, so it
doesn't rain around me...
Interview With The UltraBeast has Matured!
(comparatively, somewhat ..)
Well then respected folks.. It is almost two months
since this site's creation/birth/launch/unleashing on White Day2008 ...
Before this, there was a series of wanderings in
wilderness of the online content management system scene in search of the most convenient and
powerful, versatile way of posting and managing easily-formatted content online.. both text
and photos - as in both thumbnails, and the full-size high-res original images - at the same time intelligently preloading in an invisible, non-intrusive manner.. ohoho... on this count especially am I most happy...
And as (the venerable ancient Chinese sage)
Mencius' mother (bless her good self) moved three (3) times to settle for the
most conducive environment for the development of her offspring... the same
number of times I have moved* (bless my good self)
And, isn't it coincidental, that I
notice, right now, that it is Mother's
Day today! So, all good folks, please express your utmost
gratitude to your mother for her bringing you into this world ... regardless
that it was without your consent.
( and in that same way was Interview With The UltraBeast brought to you... so does that make me a mother... of sorts? So, commend me today ~! :D )
*with some sojourns into not a few loose standalone
web pages somewhere along the way... that I'm glad that everything has come
together now here at I,UltraBeast.
It's that time again where one sits back and reviews what one has done... specifically, I mean this very site.
Right now, things seem to be a bit more 'mature' on the front-end and back-end already... at least, those things that I don't lose any sleep to ignore :D
Although I recognize that a lot of things are going right ... just mention here some of the quirks - so that they don't jump out and surprise you.
1) The domain name itself / subdomain / URL http://virtualestate.org/ultrabeast .
Actually, I intended it to be as http://ultrabeast.virtualestate.org
for ease of typing and memory,
and subsequently any URL to be relative to that e.g. http://ultrabeast.virtualestate.org/Blog/General/The-First-Post.html
instead of http://virtualestate.org/ultrabeast/index.php/Blog/General/The-First-Post.html .
However, due to some issue with the subdomain/redirection/Search Engine Friendly (SEF) URLs, couldn't figure that out yet. So keeping to the current URL format.
2)
(Probably a big issue for a commercial site) : This website breaks crap in IE.
That is, it can't be loaded by IE.
And since I don't know the root cause of it, I don't know how to solve it ..
Anyway, I don't use IE so I don't even know what other sites can't be loaded by IE ...
Due to a contempt for IE in the first place... which this very quirk does not do anything to lessen that opinion.
So, as I have mentioned somewhere else before,
Currently, this site totally breaks IE (I'd be rich if Microsoft was
offering $ for writing something that can bring down their 16-ton giant
browser) Strictly, use MOZILLA FIREFOX.
A clue I have would be IE blocks by default some scripts which are integral to the rendering of this page. What exactly, I don't know. And I could be wrong about that, too...
EDIT : 25 April 2008, 2:28pm
The root cause of the problem has been found !
It's confirmed - my site really does break IE! Woohoo! Eat your heart our, Mr. William Harold Gates III !
That very cool rsGallery2component - automatic photo slideshows- can't be loaded in IE (IE7 and IE6 both!) and causes IE to jam with "Operation Aborted" error message !
Guess IE doesn't support the AJAX scripts needed by the slideshow... and this is IE7, mind you.. the latest incarnation of IE...
Actually, on a regular day, I would just 'screw IE' and don't care about this... but I need to get my domain ready for review by prospective employers.
As such, the post 'Junior, the Ventriloquism Puppet' with the photo slideshow has been marked under 'Registered' privilege. That is, you need to login to even know the existence of such a post, and yes, login and use MOZILLA FIREFOX.
Grrr...
So currently, it's IE compliant, so that no visitor shalt be turneth away and same too for the full extent of the lucrative advertising revenue.
Yoshaa ~~!
The theme song for this year's White Day is now up at AnimeLyrics.com .
Don't know when it will be edited though; putting up the English translation and kanji screwed up the romaji that was already there.. so don't know whether their fixing the romaji will then in turn have the converse effect ~
Anyway, just to record down my first ever contribution there...
And so that's my little contribution to the world today ~
