Hello! Nice of you to drop by my humble piece of virtual estate... Come, make yourself comfortable!
 
And so, most of the infrastructure of this site is already in place... however, will still add more 'meat' to the site 'As Time Goes By' (which incidentally is also the name of the popular theme from Casablanca).
 
The main feature that sets this site's design apart from most other blogs today is the scope for interactivity...
 
  • The membership feature, which also enables you to link to other friends in this site (i.e. ally and keep in touch with current friends and make new ones!) Also, any comments you make on this site will be graced by your pwning hero avatar... do check out the gallery, or upload one of your own! (Choose your own or go with the Random Hero suggested!)
  • The article rating system - click on the stars below each article title to award me some as you see fit!
  • And besides that, the polling system - Now you can make your opinion count!
 
During registration, 'Username' is the name that you will use to Login, whereas 'Name' is how you will be affectionately identified by other members of this site :) Bear in mind that while your username cannot be changed, your name can (along with your gender) anytime you wish it.

avatar Currently there is a bug that prevents avatars selected from the "gallery" from being displayed in the comments made. However, avatars that you upload are displayed correctly.

So to work around this currently - you could save the avatar of your choice from the gallery and upload that back as your avatar pix, alternatively you could upload one of your very own - that'll work good too.

avatar ...making the previous comment 100% obsolete less than 12 (twelve) hours after I posted it.

Sometimes, it crosses my mind that I seem to make these modifications seem so easy that anyone can do it in minutes. Oooh boy... I can tell you that it wasn't that simple.

Anyway it's the job of the irrepressible masochist in me to blissfully insulate you from the ornerous details so that you can enjoy yourself here...

Four changes were done:
1) Avatar pix not displayed fix
2) Time zone offset fixed - it is now +8 GMT (Beijing/HK/KL). Friends in other time zones, tell me whether it's in your time - or fixed to +8 GMT also.
3) Some privacy features were enhanced.
4) ..And to make all three of the above changes even possible... some preliminary work had to be done.

And so these are the unheralded things in the background that make things in front smoothly tick like clockwork...

Yah you're right.. only the comments got RSS feed ... not the entries.. at the moment.

I was aware of that, but it was not on the high priority list.. later I would add it in

avatar Keeping true to the superbly service-oriented me whom you all know and love, RSS syndication has been added! Eventually got that one figured out.. and soon enough. :p

I do not recommend it though, for two reasons:
1) Although pictures show on your RSS reader, YouTube videos don't. And many of the posts here will have embedded video.
Also, on RSS readers, there is no placeholder that shows there was supposed to be a video there.

2) For RSS cache refreshes - standard default is once every hour. Therefore it may not be up to date.

For me currently the only use for it is Live Bookmarks :grin
